Manager: Dave Hockaday
Stadium: The New Lawn
Capacity: 5,140
Nickname: The Rovers

History: Forest Green Rovers have only ever existed at non- league level, having travelled up the non-league pyramid to reach the Conference. Their name was changed to Stroud FC in the 1980’s but reverted back to Forest Green Rovers in 1992. They won promotion to the Conference in 1997 after winning the Southern League Premier. However they have battled with relegation on several occasion but have managed an all time best finish of 9th in 2003.

Key Player: Isaiah Rankin Isaiah has been vital for Forest Green this season, but his performances didn’t help Forest Green survive in the Blue Square Premier. He started his career at Arsenal, where he played once for the first team. Isaiah was sold to Bradford for £1.3m in 1998, helping them earn promotion in his first season. He has also had spells at Barnsley, Grimsby, Brentford, Stevenage Borough and Crawley before he signed for Forest Green at the start of this season.

Final League Position: 21st
After battling for most of the season with relegation, Forest Green were unable to survive in the Blue Square Premier after a final day defeat away at Grays Athletic. What will make it worse was they were only relegated on goal difference by 3 goals. Hopefully they can bounce back next season.
