History: Luton had a huge tradition in the Football League before being relegated to the Conference last year. They have played in the top divisions of English football and have won the Littlewoods Cup (League Cup). Luton won the League One title in 2006 but were relegated from the Championship the following season. During the 2007/08 season, Luton entered administration and were again relegated. Their misery continued as last season, they were docked 30 points and eventually relegated to the Conference.
Key Player: Kevin Gallen Veteran Kevin Gallen has been in good form this season scoring 11 goals that helped Luton reach the play offs. Kevin started his career with QPR where he made over 400 appearances scoring 97 goals before joining Huddersfield Town in 2000. He later re-joined QPR before heading to Mk Dons where he scored 9 goals in 16 starts. He joined Luton initially on loan but signed a permanent deal in January 2009.

Despite a good run of form towards the end of the season, Luton were unable to catch eventual champions Stevenage Boro and had to settle for a place in the play-offs. However they lost out in the semi’s to York City, losing 2-0 on aggregate and will have to endure a second season in the Blue Square Premier.
