History: Are another team that has played in the Football League. In their history they have played in the top division of English football and have won the League Cup in 1987. They were eventually relegated from the First Division in 1988 and this was to be an 18 year decline that saw them relegated to the Conference 2005-06. This was to be the first time in history of English football a team that has won a major trophy were relegated from Football League.

Key player: James Constable James has been in lethal form this season scoring 28 goals that have helped Oxford reach the play-off final. James started his career with Walsall before joining Kidderminster, scoring 18 in 42 starts. Shrewsbury snapped him up in 2007 being loaned out to Oxford in 2008, winning the Blue Square Premier player of the year award in the process. James joined Oxford on a permanent basis in May 2009.

Final League Position: 3rd
Oxford were one of the favourites for promotion this season but will be very happy they were able to reach the play-offs, where they beat Rushden & Diamonds 3-1 on aggregate to set up a tie at Wembley with York City.
